Speaker: Pauline Duncan-Thrasher
Topic: In and Out
“Mindfulness is consciously attending to the present moment, with as much wisdom and clarity as possible, without bias or prejudgment, and initiating actions (body, speech, and mind) which are beneficial to, and in alignment with, the life you define as meaningful.” John Bruna
John, a former Buddhist monk, serves on the board of Way of Compassion Foundation and is the co-founder of the Mindful Life Program. His new book, The Wisdom of a Meaningful Life, was released in August 2016.
In 2014, Pauline participated in a five day retreat with John Bruna at the Michaelite House in London Ontario arranged by Rev. Lori Hisson. Since most of us move in and out of what John calls “consciously attending to the present moment” this presentation will explore:
- Rewards and scope of being mindful
- Relating wisdom of Mindful Masters to living meaningfully
- How to Connect to our Twelve Powers through Mindfulness
- How to nourish and refresh our lives through simple mindful exercises
Join us each Sunday from 10:30-11:30am!
